Meet your Physical Therapist

Amanda Knauff

Dr. Amanda Knauff is passionate about helping her patients manage their condition in a positive way. She excels at customizing and adapting conventional physical therapy techniques to meet the special needs of each patient. Her drive for empathetic care began in her schooling. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2007, as well as a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 2010. Amanda has called Hampstead, NC, home since relocating from the New England area in 2003.

As a mother of two children, she understands the hardship that labor and delivery has on the body! She specializes in assisting women, men, and children through rehab who are suffering from impairments associated with bladder and bowel dysfunctions, pelvic pain, postpartum, prenatal, and pelvic organ prolapse. Amanda personalizes plans to effectively treat female and male patients with lymphedema, including extremities, head and neck, and genital edema (largely due to oncology or cardiovascular diagnosis). Her successes are built upon her own experiences and clinical background, as well as her continuing education and professional certifications. Her dedication to the community shows in the many ways she invests her time and knowledge into it by serving in many leadership roles.

Outside of helping her patients restore daily function and serving her local community, Amanda loves to garden, to be at the beach, to teach yoga, run, and to spend time with her family!
