Hi Y’all, I’m Melissa
A Coast Guard Spouse, mother to three teenagers who’s lived the corporate life crafting your favorite coffee beverages and leading teams all around the US for many years.
I started to realize something was missing in my everyday routine. Eventually listening to my heart, I dove right into birth work, something I’ve always felt drawn to after having my own children. After supporting my first client during her labor, I knew this was the piece that was missing! I’ve spent the last four years supporting birth and postpartum clients as a solo entrepreneur with Melissa Frane Birth Services. I am excited to use my knowledge and experience as a solid foundation and guide for the next chapter at Blissful Waves.
As your Doula, I will always strive to provide the best care and support for you. Support that is grounded in listening, empathy, education, and encouragement. Labor is hard. Postpartum is also hard. This is a time you’ll reflect on for years to come and I help you feel calm, confident, and prepared as you navigate this journey.
In addition to Doula work, I also provide a unique approach to telling your personal story from bump to baby. I document your journey via photos and video so you can remember and cherish this extraordinary time. What I love about this documentary style approach is being able to capture all the emotions and little moments as you anticipate and welcome your new baby!
My family and I are enjoying life on the North Carolina Coast where we hope to spend many more years. Some of my favorite things to do are listening to podcasts, eating avocado toast, taking naps in my backyard, making memories with my family, going to the beach and soaking up the sunshine!
Hello! I’m Bailee
A proud mom to two wonderful children, Hudson and Kennedy. I am married to my high school sweetheart who is an active duty Marine. My journey into motherhood greatly inspired my path as a doula; after the transformative experience of having doula support during my second birth, I felt called by the Lord to become a doula myself. My positive birth experience with the birth of my daughter has fueled my passion for empowering women and their partners to achieve the birth experience they desire.
As a doula, I am dedicated to providing the support, confidence, and education that every birthing person deserves. My own experiences have shown me the profound impact of having a supportive and knowledgeable companion during birth, and I strive to offer that same invaluable support to others.
Beyond my work as a doula, I love to stay active and exercise. I enjoy being outside, preferably on the beach. I am crafty and enjoy designing and planning events. My faith as a Christian is a cornerstone of my life, which guides me in all that I do.
I understand that bringing a new life into the world is a profoundly intimate and transformative journey, and I am here to ensure it's as smooth and positive as possible. As your birth doula, I will provide unwavering emotional, physical, and evidence based support tailored to your unique needs and desires.
